The title of this song in the original Cypriot Greek text (kolokouthkia) translates as ‘little courgettes’. When used in the expression ‘eggs with courgettes’ (as in the original song), it roughly translates as ‘mishmash’, i.e. something that’s thrown together hastily, a medley of things.
